Jobe, The pavement stops at the " Fire Dragon " as you remember. The Fire Dragon however is gone, with just an empty fenced area left. The old wooden Kinely Creek bridge where the Bradford Ridge trail starts got burnt up in the Pinnacle Fire a couple of summers ago. It was replace with a strong concrete and metal bridge. The large parking area on the south side of the bridge is now fenced off and can't be used for parking. You have to park on the side of the road around the bridge area. The weather has been warming up here in Apple Valley the last couple of days and the snows in the mountains like in the area of the Kinely Creek bridge is either melted or melting fast. Warmer temps are expected to continue for at least a few more days. If you hike the Bradford Ridge trail with your son Jobe, if you think of it, do a trip report here and let us know what the current condition of the trail is.
