AC, When I mentioned about things that MC has done, negatively affecting other visitors to DCHS, in most of the cases, they were things that did not occur on the 80 acres of the Bowen Ranch property, though much has occurred there too. Mike has the reasonable rights of any property owner, to do whats " legal " regarding his own land. Is Mikes taking of a fee from people to park on his property legal? Many say it is not. I would think its a form of a business, subject to taxes ( think Mike pays taxes on his toll fee? ). I have heard of similiar cases that were deemed not legal, and were shut down because of this. Think Mike would have ever bought the Bowen Ranch if there wasn't money to be made off of the DCHS visitors ( not a chance )? Mike hands out black trash bags, but have you ever seen him picking up trash down at DCHS? I haven't. I've taken loads of trash out of DCHS over the years, and I've never made a dime off of those beautiful springs. Whats the fee now for parking at the Bowen Ranch, five bucks a head ( how much in a year of visitors )? What Mike has done in the past to people off of his land, in the area around the Bowen Ranch has been a big part of the problem related to mikes negative actions. I don't know what he does these days, and I have not seen him riding his dirt bike all over like he used too in the areas around the Bowen Ranch property. Mike has helped people out in various ways over the many years, getting people unstuck, jumping cars ( like me one time ), going on rescues to look for people, etc, and if these were soley representative of Mikes history in the area, then then I'm sure Mike would be respected by all. But the truth is, there is the other negative, aggressive, and downright dangerous side to Mike's behaviour over the years, and these incidents are part of the history of MC too, and people don't forget these things.
