East Bay, The picture of the grinding hole is at the link on this forum " more hotsprings pictures " under wizard on page 5, picture number 7. In this picture someone recently had place a rock in the grinding hole which may have been similiar to the rocks the indians used to do thier grinding in these holes. There is also a bit of water visible in this hole from rain that had fallen in the days before this picture was taken. Some of the holes are smaller than this one and I know of at least one that is bigger and deeper, maybe 10 inches deep. The ones I have found are all pretty close together. One large very round granite boulder which is almost like a circle has one of these holes almost in the center on top. I think you will find them on your next trip. Good Luck!
