Wizard, Thanks so much for the directions. I can't wait until I'm back there and get a chance to try it out again. I didn't have any luck finding your pictures of the grinding holes. Which Wizard page are they on?

It definitely is fascinating to me to think of the Indians in Deep Creek: what did they think of the Hot Springs? What did they eat in the canyon? Who were their enemies? I'm sure they migrated and probably just spent spring/summer in the canyon. With the harsh weather in the winter they probably walked down to the Mojave River and fished for the winter months.
