The wind here in Apple Valley late Friday into the evening was amazing. When it first started it picked up all the dry dirt and dust and you couldn't see more than a hundred feet or so, then later that night it rained pretty hard for about a half hour. Rained again this morning, and after about 8 this evening it started raining moderately again. As of 11:11 PM, its still raining :-) My little Goldfish pond up in Granite Mountains filled up about a month ago with those first rains. Unfortunately it has a small leak in the dam. These rains will get it full again. Last time I was up there when it was colder it had about a 3 inch layer of ice on its surface, with three Goldfish frozen in the ice. Well I put 37 fish in the pond so there are still some living below the ice I'm sure :-) The places where pools in the stream channel form up there are full, so the Coyotes, Bobcats, and Foxes are happy now :-)
