The last time I was cleaning out the Womb with my pool hose, I spotted something on the bottom of the pool and I grabbed it thinking it was just a piece of trash and it turned out to be a piece of broken glass. I cut my finger on it a bit, thankfully not much. One time when I was down with my young daughters, this guy was stumbling around the edge of the Womb, carrying a wiskey bottle. I told him ( like you did Rudedog ) that he should put his beverage in a plastic container and that glass anywhere in the Deep Creek canyon was illegal. He responded drunkenly that he had been coming there for years and wasn't going to fall. Well, a few minutes latter he did fall, and the broken glass from his wiskey bottle fell into the Womb, at the place were most people get in. Some other visitors and I did our best to find the broken shards. Later that day one of my daughters cut her foot on a piece of glass we had not found. Occasionally you will come across someone who actually listens to advice about glass at DCHS, but most times the people will just ignore you, or will get angry about " being told what to do! ". Another time I was checking out stuff with my mask out in the Lagoon ( the big pool in the creek in front of the hotpools at DCHS ) and I found a broken beer bottle on the bottom of the creek with a very sharp piece of it sticking up. It was laying in about waist deep water near the Arizona Pool. That one would have really done some damage on someone with bare feet. I always put my beverages in plastic when I go to DCHS. I wish everybody would do the same.
