Re: Off Road Issue in the NY Times

This is exactly the kind of thing that is happening from the DCHS vicinity north to the Juniper Flats area. Illegal ORV activity is rampant and for all practical purposes mostly uncontrolled in our local desert and mountain areas. Even out where I live near Fairview Valley in northeastern Apple Valley the illegal ORV riders go where ever they want. There is an area of very scenic rock formations on the northeastern side of Fairview Valley which has the nickname of Margaritaville. The rock climbers have many routes in these rocks. This beautiful spot has been completely over run by ORV activity and has been hit hard in recent years by graffiti. I don't even bother going out there anymore, just too dis-appointing to see the damage.
