I am pleased to hear you talked to Ranger Burns about the illegal OHV activities in the DCHS area. The damage to the goat trail and adjacent hillsides has become extensive over time, the first dirtbike damage occurring in April of 2007, by my recollection and photos.

As you know, I photo-document all damage, vandalism, and graffitti on the trails and in and around the Springs whenever I find it. This past weekend is the first weekend in many, many months - nearly a year - that I've not made it to the Springs. I worry about the place. "Regulars" rarely show up anymore, it seems.

If you have not visited DCHS recently via the goat trail, the problem is bad and getting worse. In all the years I've been going to DCHS, this year has been the most challenging in keeping up with all the trash and damage. I call 2007, "The Year of the Idiot".
