Thanks Wizard,
Yes I do plan on riding the legal way and dont intend to make anyone upset. I have read through some of this ofrum and see all the discontent. Also dont want to be shot at like I have read a little about in one posting. Anyway I was trying to use google earth maps and a map of some of the trails to find a way to ride my quad to a closer spot to the hot springs.I enjoy the hot springs and though its nice to hike to it I dont always have that kind of time. So I was thinking if there was a way to take my quad and get closer to it it would save me some time and I could visit more often. What I came up with by using google maps was taking willow creek jeep trail to ash meadow road north and taking squint ranch road all the way north til it dead ends. It looks like it dead ends just a little north of the creek with a short walk southwest putting you right at the hot springs. Now this is just what I could see with the google maps not sure how accurate or legal this route would be. Though the last time I was at the hot springs I could here a 4 wheeler in the distance and later saw a guy walk up from the north carrying his helmet? Was this one of the illeagal ways to get there? Anyway like I said just trying to find a way to get there more often and save time but at the same time want to do it the right way and not create any problems or get shot at. Thanks for your help hope to someday see you out there.
