We've lost over 2000 homes from the fire. Over 500,000 homes have been evacuated. We are all hoping the c-130 water drop planes can fly tomorrow if the Santa Ana winds die down. The western edge of the Witch Fire is only about 5 miles inland from the coast in Del Mar and still destroying lots of homes along the Del Dios highway. There are over 1000 firefighters battling these blazes. We are all personally OK- we donated a bunch of essential items like bottled water, soap, and trash bags to the big evacuation center at Qualcomm Stadium, where there are currently over 70,000 evacuees.
