Yesterday I went to Gold strike canyon after posting here. Some body had brought another can of bright orange paint into the canyon and they painted arrows on almost every rock in site. When they ran out of orange they proceeded to use a bright red color. I am just glad I was not there to catch them as I am not certain I could maintain my composure.
I was glad I had brought my can of paint remover with my spray bottle. By spraying on paint remover, waiting 10 minuets for the chemicals to take effect then putting dirt on the ugly crap. I was able to remove about halve of this obomination.
I used a one quart can of paint remover. I am reasonable sure this method will work on the granite rocks in Deep creek canyon also. Gold Strike canyon is mostly rhyolite rock and this worked well there.
