I have purchased and viewed a new documentary entitled, " A Crude Awakening ", which discusses in detail the precarious state of declining world oil reserves. It is the best documentary I have seen on the subject thus far. If you go to " oilcrashmovie.com " you can read a summary of the film. This DVD is available for under $20 dollars at Amazon. There is additional information in the " extras " section, in the form of four additional interviews, one being with Mathew Simmons ( who is featured prominently in the film ) who was the energy advisor to Bush when he took office. He advised the Decider of the looming energy crises back before 9-11. Bush chose a course of fake wars to steal other countries oil through occupations of others lands and the building of huge, permanent military bases, as his response to this predicament. This film offers a straightforward and sensible discussion of the history, the present, and what looks to be the grim future of declining world oil production.
