Yes. It's true. Motorcycles are routinely going down the goat trail then scaring up the sides of the moutains on either side of the trial in several places. It's maddening!

This has been happening for the past several weeks since warmer weather broke. It happens nearly every weekend. They go thru the swinging gate at the head of the goat trail (lower parking lot area) and make their way past the steel sign, then down as far as the washed-out, rocky spot down the trail. At various places the tracks go both east and west up the sides of the mountains.

Yesterday, 3 motorcycles (3 sets of tracks) came down the trail really digging up the hillsides and the trail, pretty good.

Signs and warnings should be put up at the head of the goat trail, before dirt-bikers do more irrepairable damage. I've been hoping to catch the culprits in the act, but they're always gone by the time I hike out - all I've seen is the aftermath.

BTW, I've noticed the authorities have put up several new red CLOSED trail markers on the mountainside off JF3 or 4 (?) where dirtbikers have blazed yet another trail up the side of a mountian. These can be seen on your left after you make the first left west of Bowen Ranch after you go thru the "pass".
