Emails similar to yours have popped up on this forum and on sites like rec.nude. The common theme is based on the belief that there are lots of live, nude girls at hot springs, clothing optional beaches and other places where nude recreation happens.

The fact is that the majority of nude recreationists are male and that most of the women who visit the places I described arrive with guys. They are not usually interested in dumping their companions and hooking up with one or more of the many unattached, oh-so-available males. I've been a devotee of Deep Creek Hot Springs for (gasp!) 37 years and have rarely observed successful pickups, unless the guys involved looked like, or actually were, Brad Pitt, Ryan Phillippe or George Clooney.

The solution is to find girls at work, school, clubs, etc. who are inquisitive, intellectually curious, love being in the wild and are open to new experiences. This takes cultivation. Most women I know, and I mean ladies of all ages, are often suspicious of any guys who start off the first conversation with an invitation to "go get naked." Naturism is not primarily about sex any more than any clothed activity and you have to embrace that philosophy before you start your recruitment. Find a lady you like and spend time with her doing normal, everyday things. Go hiking with her and see whether she likes the environment and experience. Take it easy and slow and you'll know when the time is right to visit the springs or clothing optional beach. When you go for the first time let her know that the place is clothing optional and accept the fact that she will want to keep her body covered until she sees that "wearing the birthday suit" is not a threatening proposition, but a new, delightful experience

The culture at Deep Creek H.S. has always been one of politeness and respect. That means not staring, no photographs without permission and control over unexpected arousal (this is less a problem than one would expect, but if it does hit the cold water and RELAX).

Good luck.
