Hey Mojavegreen, regarding my posts done in reference to our noisy ORV neighbors, as I remember, I indicated that, after we first reported the riding, the neighbor kids did really ramp up thier riding after the second police officer responded to thier house, and essentially gave them the thumbs up to go ahead and do what they were doing. It was obvious that these kids were making a point by thier extra riding, like " see ", the cops are not going to do anything to us. A vindictive escalation of the riding by them at that point. My neighbors, or the law enforcement we contacted never made any threats of any sort to me. My property has not been affected in any way. The one officer did make the comment to my neighbors wife in a phone conversation that the parents of the boys who ride, know people in high places, kinda striking us as a veiled threat of sorts. I just wanted to make clear that I have not had any threats against me personally regarding this situation with my neighbors. I think any post I have made on that subject will bear this out. Apart from that, illegal ORV riders remain a big problem in various areas of the high desert, and they do resort to threats and vindictive behavior at times when confronted, or when they have specific knowledge of who is calling law enforcement on them. Tuff situation, there's only so many law enforcement personel, and as me and my neighbor saw, some officers are not very supportive of shutting these guys down regarding thier illegal activities.
