Car camping other than Bowen

Hi all,

I'm planning to return for a second trip to Deep Creek tomorrow and was wondering about camping in the area. Last time, I backpacked in and camped a mile or so from the creek, which was nice. This time, I'm with some people who dislike backpacking and am interested to know if there are any car camping areas other than Bowen. Particularly, I heard about the Bradford ridge and Pacific Crest routes to reach the creek-- do these have any campgrounds associated with them? Finally, is Bowen packed on holidays?

Edit: Or alternatively, any campgrounds that are a nominal distance from the parking area to carry a heavy backpack to? (<a mile or so)
