Nice write up Wizard! I sure enjoyed the day at the springs. Glad I could help with the "Pack it Out" sign. Let's hope that some Hot Springers are intelligent enough to read, because a good number sure can't figure out how to properly take care of their own garbage.
There sure was an eclectic mix of folks down there today. Lot’s of Oriental folks were hiking down the Bowen Ranch road, with maps in hand. I don’t believe that I’ve encountered that many “first timers” there before. The place just continues to gain in popularity. And as I was hiking out just before you, I couldn’t believe how many people were hiking down to the springs at that late hour. If they all continued down to the springs, I’m sure they didn’t get much soaking in before dark. I got a few nice pictures of the changing leaves and stream and granite rock formations. Deep Creek surely is a magically unique place. Timeless…
