And if you think THAT is wierd?
Yesterday, I spent the whole day at Arizona (Ringbolt) hot springs. The winds, some say were 100 miles per hour, were intense. While at the springs only one group of canoers showed up. Spent 15-20 minuets soaking and left. All day on a Saturday I had the springs to myself. I spent several hours on the Colorado river reading my book. It seemed the wind was trying to blow the river back up stream. There were white caps agreeing with this idea. Usually the river level fluctuates by several feet, but not yesterday.
So as the sunset I made my way back to the highway and no cars anywhere. NONE NOTTA very Alfred Hichcockesk. I wondered if there was a terrorest attack. I wandered if the Massiah had returned? WHERE WAS EVERYBODY?
So I drove my truck to the Hoover dam listening to the radio for clues to everyone absence. As I arrived at a new police check point and asked where was everyone. They wanted to know where I had been all day. So I told them.
A large crane tower being used to construct the new bridge had blown over. Shutting down the highway/dam for everyone. I had to drive100 miles to Laughlin to get home.
And THAT is the rest of the story.
