I did read about the recent Opec meeting Jobe. These days they really don't have the spare capacity to moderate the world oil prices, like the way they used to. Regarding the US refinery bottleneck, and why no new ones are being built, the speculation I have seen in articles is that Big Oil knows the truth of Peak Oil, and if we are truly at the zenith of world wide oil production, then the oil companies figure, why build new refineries in a world of declining oil supplies. Regarding Bushes referring to the US as " the Homeland " , Hitler used to do the same in naming his country. Just BS semantics to get the public behind Bush on his policies, because who wouldn't want to protect thier " Homeland ", kinda like those dang terroist are attacking our HOME. Somebody needs to tell Bush we live in the UNITED STATES! But then, what can you expect from a guy who went on reading " my pet goat " for 20 minutes while the world trade centers were getting slammed. Another thing regarding Bush trying to change the rules of the Geneva Convention, he is proposing a situation where a defendent could in all possibility, under his proposed guidlines, not even hear or see the evidence waged against him, and this goes for his lawyer too. The defendant could get convicted, sentenced, and never having seen what the evidence was that caused his conviction. I say lets impeach Bush, and as far as evidence, just tell him that because of " Security Issues ", and in abiding by the spirit of his new rules for the Geneva Convention, that the evidence used to impeach him can not be exposed. Bush and his crew are a bunch of arrogant criminals, and I really hope, people get out in mass and vote in a way that brings some real change, and we need to as responsibe citizens keep at it, till these career politicians and criminals get the message that we want this country back on an ethical path regarding its behavior, toward its people, and towards the rest of the people in this world.
