So I Plan to camp at deep creek this spring. I do not plan to go to the hot Spring, I plan to take the 173 to Hook Creek Rd. From there the pavement turns into a dirt road and there is a little bridge. (I've seen a lot of ATV's and dirt bikes). Anyways, I plan to hike up the creek a bit. I've seen some guys fishing and also there are these cliffs people jump off of. I will be going with a group of 4 people.
I know a few rules...
No camping within 1 mile of the creek. *Edit.
No fires, (propane tanks ok).
Whatever I bring in I take out (don't worry I pick up trash on the way out as well).
No glass.
What other rules are there?
What types of animals should I prepare for?
Any thing else I should be informed about?
Is everything completely bad with all the sand everywhere? I heard people say most parts of the creek are bad because sand ruined most places.
Thank you.
