I'll be down at the springs on Saturday, August 19th. You'll recognize me by the pink, trapdoor-like vertical scar in the center of my chest. I expect that I'll do just fine on the hike back out at the end of the day (everybody does OK hiking in, it's the hike out that sometimes requires the Huey chopper).

I tried to make my next hike to the springs a shared experience with a number of newbies, but sadly, the folks I invited are backing out of the adventure in a chicken-like manner. Does the prospect of a day spent in a natural paradise seem that scary?

Oh well, I'll see you folks in a week and a half.
