Pile Burning along SR173 north of Lake Arrowhead

Firefighters will be conducting start winter pile burning along State Highway 173 north of Lake Arrowhead and Deer Lodge Park from December 17 into Spring 2011. Smoke and flames may occasionally be visible from the roadways and visible from the local community. Firefighters will have “prescribed fire” signs posted in the project area. The highway and forest recreation sites in the area will not be impacted by the operations. The winter burning program along the highway will continue through early spring as weather and conditions permit.
