It is not the trail that has the ruts but the road to it. I have seen a lot of two wheels drives going there. As long as it does not rain you can most likely make it, it will proably remind you of home. And I hope it does rain.
I may be going there in a few days again. That will depend on my boss. So keep in touch.
If I do go back I'll be doing the Bradford ridge with my GPS and computer.
Also, it is a 1000 foot defferance in elevation from the trailhead to the springs. The same amount of elevation gain as the Bowen ranch trail. Which is a 2.2 mile hike.Instead of 1.2 at the freedom trail. So, take it easy if your not in shape. And the Bowen ranch charges $5 to park during the day and $10 if you stay after sunset per person per day.
