Freedom trail - directions

Matt,
The shortest easiest way to DCHS is the freedom trail. You may want a rental truck or a high clearance vehicle. Because the road is rough in places.
Follow the directions to the Bowen ranch, before the ranch @ 100 yards or meters is a gate on the right side of the road. This is JF 3310 check your odometer and go @ .6 miles the road has another gate and makes a hard left. This is JF 3320 continue another 1.1 mile or a total of 1.7 miles from the first gate and turn left. This un numbered road goes @ 100 yards or meters and dead ends, Go left again. This is JF 3380, go less than .5 miles and park at the large flat parking place there. Look to the south east for the trail down hill. It is 1.2 miles to the springs from here.
The Bradford ridge trail is only harder if you are out of shape. Because the hills are small and easy. Except the one coming off the Pacific crest trail. Other wise it is terrific.
You may wish to print these directions and take them with you for a later reference.
