visiting ca

Hi everyone,

I used to hike to the hot springs all the time when I lived in CA about 20ish years ago. I'm going to be in CA on vacation and want to visit the hot springs but don't know what the social climate is these days. Basically I'm wondering are there lots of weirdos, what days are there more hikers to maybe join up with, what days are crowded? I know any answers will be subjective opinions but I just want to get a feel for what it's like these days. A hike to Deep Creek has been on my list of things I've really wanted to do while in CA but want to be wise about it.
