The last time we faced a gas shortage, one conservation measure was the "double nickel" or 55 mph speed limit. (Tough to maintain in the wide open spaces in the West and I paid a few tickets myself.)

Hitting a wall on gas supplies? Looks like we're going to hit it full speed.
