A Palm Springs nudist resort will take part in a July 11 bid to set a Guinness world record for the largest number of people simultaneously skinny-dipping.
The Desert Sun Resort at 1533 N. Chaparral Road expects to host "hundreds of nude people'" in its three pools at noon that day. Thousands of other naked people across the United States will also be making the plunge at the same time.
"The Guinness World Records organization has just created a new category for the greatest number of naked people to be in swimming pools at the same time.'"
"Skinny-dipping is a wholesome tradition as old as humanity and frequently honored in art and movies. It celebrates the natural joy of plunging into water without hindrance of clothing."
