sat was an amazing day at the hot springs . i hiked in nude from hwy 173 at the small metal bridge,it only took 40 min, i got to the springs at about 12 noon threw my clothes back on. there were already a pretty good size croud. a lot of familiar faces. the group of 20 somethings that the have been there the last few weekends were posted up under the main shade spot when i arrived , they are always a good bunch of heads to chill with. said hi to the other regulars (sorry i havent remembered all or any of your names) . some rock climbers showed up around 3 , it was cool just hangin in the water watching the climbers. i counted about 60 people throughout the day, so i was pretty busy . right around sundown i had a couple cans of soup that i let heat up in the lower spring ,an f-14 flying realy low came screaming over head, that was realy cool. i hiked south on the PCT for about 2 miles then jogged back to camp by moonlight ,it was cool i saw a fox on the trail and acouple of stinky hippiesasked for direction(stinky hippies rock) i counted 15 campsites along the stream, it did get alittle load around 10-11 oclock, but hell it was saturday night and there is something magical about this place. i got up around 5 am packed up and hiked back up the side of the hill leading to the bradford ridge trail, i do not recomend this trail if your not in great shape .i made it back to my car in an hour ten min.
once again, a great day, good people, and the freedom of the springs that i have grown to love.
peace love and nate
