Tonight CNN from 8PM to 9PM aired its show, " We were warned " , again, which goes into various senarios of oil depletion, and what it will entail. They will also show it this Saturday. They did this same show six times on one weekend about a month ago. There have been 3 straight days of record high oil prices. Lots fuel conservation and thumbs up for coal ads now on tv all the time. See a trend? Al Gore will be have a documentary film coming out soon, entitled, " An Inconvenient Truth ", which goes into great depth on the subject of Global Warming. The dire climate change that is coming, to put it very lightly, will be drastically inconveniet. This US administration, finds it inconvenient to address these huge problems, so they have approached these dire issues by hiding the facts, and sweeping the information under the rug, so to speak. They remind me of the new climate change ad thats coming out, where a man is standing on a railroad track, and a train is coming at him from behind, the train representing the coming consequences of climate change. The man talks about how he's not worried, because the big problems won't affect him in his lifetime, he steps off the track, out of the harms way, but then behind him you see two children, a boy and girl, representing the next generation, and the add ends just before the train is about to hit them. This truly represents the reality of our current course, if humanity does not somehow, collectively, find the will, and means, to change its path from that of careless pillaging our beautiful blue orb, to one of wise, sustainable stewardship, of our precious little home, in a great emptiness.
