Lately, on cable news, there have been commercials, showing children, citing the virtues of energy from coal. Have young children ( paid actors ) suddenly become experts on the pro's and con's of coal use? If the coal industry has an " Honest Message " to convey, don't they think and adult messenger could accomplish this? Well, " adult officials " and, " captains of industry " these days, are in truth, showing on a regular basis, that they are not honest, and cannot be trusted, so the coal industry " adults ", are using kids, to do thier dirty work, employing youth, to portray a clean image. Its a slick schmooz job. The means by which the coal industry is attempting to mold within the general public, a perception that thier industry, is as pure as the innocence of a young child. Youngsters saying coal is OK, how sweet. As oil, and natural gas head down the backside of thier individual peaks of worldwide production, all our societies, addicted to these energy forms, like the US, will seek a larger, and larger portion of thier energy fix, from coal. This development, will put even more greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, deepening, and speeding up, the ever increasing global climate crisis. The huge, worldwide Consumption, and Rampant Growth Party, continues. Look around the planet, its business as usual, despite the growing signs that the impact of the human organism, have reaped deadly, and growing consequences for the biosphere that supports us. But no worries, because the Little Coal Kids say, " Burn that coal, everythings gonna be OK! ".
