That looks like a small Barn owl to me. I had two that lived in my yard in Tallahassee Florida, Rick. The male was almost two feet tall, the female was about 4-5 inches smaller. I was glad they were around as they ate rats and snakes. The first time I spotted them they had a snake and were feasting on it. According to ancient custom they are a sign of good luck. So good luck and thanks for sharing.
Also it is nice to see Lilly, I am glad you have been a good roll model for her.
