Actually, the current proposal is the result of public input along with Stakeholder meetings held with San Bernardino County officials. The group included representives from the FOJF. A letter of consensus and support was submitted to San Bernardino County supervisors signed by both the lawyers for the off-roaders, representives from property owner and conservation groups.
I have been noticibly quiet about things here due to a harrassment campaign directed at me led by an AMA D37 member named Dan Clark, of Huntington Beach, Ca. He posts on thier webboard as "dustdevil" and plagues the desertusa.com site with abusive posts. It was best to keep the OHV nuts in the dark until the ordinance had the support of the supervisors.
The County Supervisors support the OHV ordinance and recognize the increasing problems countywide with hostile and irresponsible off-roaders. What we have experienced here in Juniper Flats is going on county wide . San Bernardino County Sheriff's dept is recieving reports daily from across the county about problematic off-roaders.
Anyone who can is urged to show up at the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors meeting on tuesday 4/11/06 and voice your support for this ordinance. We will be carpooling from various areas if anyone needs a ride. You can bet the off-roaders will be there!
