It will if we keep the fire stoked and hold the BLM accountable. Getting changes made to the final ROD for WEMO was a result of some vocal and persistant efforts. It demonstrates positive outcome and influence can be made by ordinary people who have the courage to stand together for what is right. Those TWO voices calling for justice and free public access to Deep Creek Hot Springs were heard.
The BLM is short of cash and they rely on volunteers to make a lot happen with resource enhancement and protection. How about an adopt-a-trail program for the access route to the trailhead. If we all sit on our butts and wait for the BLM, the road may never see maintinance. Is anyone here up for the task?
