You heard it here first folks. WEMO was signed into law yesterday with some minor modifications

"Routes RJ 1003, RJ1005, RJ 1056, RJ1057and RJ1059 are designated as closed for protection of cultural resources within the Juniper Flats Area of Critical Environmental Concern. The portion of RJ2031 within the ACEC between Powerline Road and Bowen Ranch Road is designated as closed"

J1299 is CLOSED to motorized vehicles

Another significant decision was addressed in the final WEMO ROD


"Two protests addressed the issue of safe public access through the Juniper Sub Region to the Deep Creek Hot Springs trailhead. BLM will strive to provide a safe two wheel drive access located entirely on public lands in the implementation phase of the West Mojave Plan. BLM anticipates that this access can be provided as part of the adaptive management provisions of the plan and will be a plan maintenance action"
