The springs has provided many people with memories.
I ran into someone who had gone down there with his friend as a young teenager. After they left the springs, they heard on the radio about that lady who died of that rare disease may have caught it down at the springs. He said he was freaked out for days afterward wondering if he was going to get it.
The lady sheriff sergeant that I know went to the springs during a bust in the 1970's. They had a couple of guys under arrest and were escorting them out of the canyon when the guys took off running. This lady officer had their driver's licenses. The next day, these guys came into the sheriff station looking for their licenses where they were promptly arrested by this lady officer.
