Hello Paul :-) I know the last time I called in the report to the USFS of the abandoned vehicle at the end of that same Jeep trail in the summer of 2004, it was only about a week or two later, and the car was removed. Don't know if that time the owner, or the USFS did the removal, but, that car was also on the road. This new wrecked car is down the hill about 125 yards, and in real bad shape, as you can see in my photos. I hope they are able to get it out, and make the owner pay for the cost of removal, at the least. Also I think the irresposible people or person who caused this, should also have to clean up the whole hillside where this car tumbled down, of all the broken glass, and car parts, that are scattered from the car, up to the top of the hill. In looking over the car on Friday, I could not see any leaking gas or oil at this point, kinda supprising, given how beat up this car is. I'll keep an eye on it with my binoculars, when I hike to DCHS, and will do a post if it does end up getting taken out. Brad Burns may reply to my e-mail about the wrecked car, and possibly indicate what actions he may take on the matter.
