...A COOL...WET AND LOCALLY WINDY STORM SYSTEM CONTINUES TO HEAD
TOWARDS SOUTHEAST CALIFORNIA...SOUTHWEST AND SOUTH CENTRAL ARIZONA...

A STRONG EAST PACIFIC LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM IS CONTINUING TO DEVELOP
ALONG THE WEST COAST. AS THIS SYSTEM DEVELOPS AND MOVES INLAND...
BREEZY TO LOCALLY WINDY CONDITIONS WILL PREVAIL OVER SOUTHEAST
CALIFORNIA AND SOUTHWEST ARIZONA TODAY. THERE WILL ALSO BE A CHANCE
OF SHOWERS TODAY AND TONIGHT ESPECIALLY OVER SOUTHEAST CALIFORNIA
AND SOUTHWEST ARIZONA. THE SHOWERS WILL INCREASE AND SPREAD FROM
SOUTHEAST CALIFORNIA THROUGH SOUTH CENTRAL ARIZONA BY MONDAY AND
TUESDAY. TOTAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS WILL BE BETWEEN ONE HALF AND ONE
INCH BY STORMS END LATE TUESDAY NIGHT. SOME AREAS COULD RECEIVE
MORE...ESPECIALLY THE HIGHER TERRAIN OF NORTHERN LA PAZ... FAR
NORTHERN MARICOPA AND SOUTHERN GILA COUNTIES.

IN ADDITION TO THE EXPECTED RAINY WEATHER...IT IS ALSO GOING TO TURN
COOLER EARLY NEXT WEEK...WITH LOWER DESERT TEMPERATURES ON TUESDAY
AND WEDNESDAY...IN THE 70 TO 80 DEGREE RANGE. WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE
EXPECTED TO IMPROVE WEDNESDAY AS THE STORM SYSTEM MOVES AWAY FROM
THE AREA...AND IS REPLACED BY HIGHER PRESSURE.

PERSONS PLANNING OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES ON SUNDAY SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR
BREEZY TO LOCALLY WINDY CONDITIONS TO DEVELOP BY MIDDAY SUNDAY. FOR
MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THIS DEVELOPING STORM SYSTEM...STAY TUNED TO
NOAA WEATHER RADIO...OR CHECK THE OFFICIAL NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE
FORECAST ON THE INTERNET AT WEATHER DOT GOV.
