In a earlier post I stated a bible proverb said, " When you hear a rumour consider the source." I miss spoke. After studying Proverbs I did not find that saying there. That was probaly Ben Franklin's saying as I have been studying his sayings lately.
I did find these proverbs however:
Truth stands the test of time; lies are soon exposed. An honest witness tells the truth; a false witness tells lies.
Proverbs 12; 19 - 17
A wise person is hungry for truth, while a fool feeds on trash.
Proverbs 15; 14
Telling lies about others is as harmful as hitting them with an ax, wounding them with a sword, or shooting them with a sharp arrow.
Proverbs 25;18
See why I seldom accuse anyone of any thing?
