You make a good point, Jobe. If Mike is at the ranch, he would allow access. In the case you describe, there would again be confusion and potential loss of life.
The locked gate you speak of is well inside public property although Castro posts it as his private property boundary. Clearly he views public property around his ranch as his own domain. That seems to include JF3/JF4 as evidenced by aggression shown to those attempting to use that route.
Your request for FOIA support would provide valuable information about BLM favoritism and could be used in a legal suit.
As for my last postings, I did not realize it had posted as I was writing it, therefore it duplicated. My intent was to show how the public was outrageously shut out of WEMO planning.
BLM has yet to release final WEMO, possibly because they realize how vulnerable it is to challenge. Also, a court challenge would expose a number of BLM employees as highly unethical and others as criminal.
Most of the culprits have wisely hit the exits, including District Manager Linda Hansen, Field Manager Tim Read, Chief Law Enforcement Officer Barry Nelson and Recreational Branch Manager Harold Johnson. OHV Coordinator Mike Ahrens remains with his hand in the cookie jar.
