Hello. I've been trying to get to Deep Creek for years and finally the friend I want to take is here. I want to go tomorrow, Thursday the 29th. Only problem, he's having some disc problems in his lower back. I'm driving from LA, west-side, and found the instructions, (is it about an hour and a half trip?), read some posts... looks like the road's ok, (I'm in a compact), but what about the hike? Is it bad? And the directions don't say what to do after you get to Bowen Ranch. Is it obvious? I'm really hoping to go - maybe load him up with Advil 'til we get there. Then, once we make it to the pools, he'll be healed, right? Thanks for any help anyone can offer!
