J1299 as proposed in WEMO is an EXCLUSIVE motorcycle route. It is not a legal open route at this time and cannot be signed as such by the BLM. The ruts have made it unridable in places resulting in route proliferation. An amazing fact is many of the people responsible for the illegal creation have suffered illness and accedents. The Chemuhavi man I spoke to a while back stated there is a curse upon desecrators of sacred sites.
The road to the parking area for Deep Creek access was open for years and was free access to the public lands, connecting with USFS property. Is it right for a private individual to hold the public hostage (sometimes at gunpoint) to pay for resonable access? The JF3/JF4/3N59A route is confusing and inappropriate for the every day vehicle.
