The rains that watered everything sure were nice. The desert came alive after the storm and an unusual mist was hanging on the hilltops and valleys the morning after. The air was full of so many different scents of the plants that it was intoxicating at times. The fall bloom is happening now. More subtle that the spring, there are many yellow flowers and ever some little purple ones. I kept running into a redtail hawk every where I went and also saw a prairie falcon. Juniper Flats was magical yesterday. In the slience, I could hear the Granite Mountains calling. They were saying "Mr Wizard.....come out and play". Did he hear them too? Daytime highs have been in the 80s and the nights a little cooler. You can feel the autumn in the air.
