Yesterday saw lots of big thunderstorms, and loads of lightning in the Victor Valley. After noon, things in the atmosphere really started to get going. One big storm that we could see from our home was giving the north west part of Apple Valley a deluge, in the same area for over an hour. There were also more big storms somewhere between Apple Valley and Lucerne Valley which pumped out incredible winds which blew a lot of dust from Apple Valley, out into Hesperia and Victorville. Later the storm that was in Apple Valley rolled southwest across Oak Hills where my folks live and they had intense, and very close lightning, and more amazing downpours of rain. During all of this it was very windy at our home, but we only go a small bit of rain, being between the two main areas of storms. We sat on our front porch and ate lunch, while watching all the action. Then by around 6 PM, the storms had all moved on, the skies cleared, the air became calm again, and yet a few hours before, it had been so much differant. Well it was alot of fun to watch, and the Weather Channel is showing a chance of thundershowers for the rest of the week. This morning, the skies are completely clear. Well see what the afternoon heat kicks up today :-)
