I can verify that its SMOKIN HOT out here in the high desert. The air in my area was quite clear, and looking up at the backside of the San Bernardino Mountains, they were rippling a bit in the intense rising heat. I was working on the home I'm building between Apple Valley and Lucerne Valley and with the black lathing paper now on the house, working on the inside of the home is a little bit like being in an oven :-) Got lots of cold water to keep my brain from frying! Out in back of the home there happens to be a bunch of Burrowing Owls and I counted seven of them one day, all sitting on the chain link fence at one time. When the house first got framed there also was a Barn Owl that took up residence in the rafters during the evenings till the home got wrapped. I think I'll have to charge extra for this house, since it comes with an Owl security system :-)
