I arrived on Bowen Ranch Road @ 4:00 pm Saturday. Robin, A oak springs area resident, said the fire had been put out. I locked in my 4 wheel drve and barely made it througfh the numerous fire trucks and fire men.The area where is starts getting bad is just after the 1st hair pin turn past the last house on the road. then it gets worse, as you get to where the water used to flow across the road.
There were only a few people at the springs when I finaly arrived. I did not get there till @ 6:00. 'Cause I was busy investigating what had happened.
Mr. Bill an area resident said the fire had started beside the road and the wind blew it toward town. The fire burned @ 300 yards past where Oak springs Road and Bowen ranch road meet.Oak Springs road is the next road past the village that goes to Jerry's place on Luna mt.
The fire dept was still monitoring the fire w/ 5 trucks when i left.
It looks like A lonesome birthday at the springs.
