Keep in mind that Deep Creek Hot Springs is in a corrupt county where the public officials are involved in misappropriating money on a regular basis. Mr. Postmus is embroiled in a corruption scandal right now. He was involved in a Charter School where his father works. This charter school is currently the subject of a huge investigation for alleged misappropriation of funds. Postmus' Father was a San Bernardino County Sheriff.

In addition, Mr. Postmus has called for an investigation by the DA's office into a attorney client privileged memo leaked to the press. This memo revealed that Mr. Postmus and Mr. Biane (both county supervisors) were holding "secret" meetings with a developer to settle a lawsuit against the county over flood control improvements. It is a felony to leak these type of memos.

However, the memo revealed inappropriate negotiations as both Mr. Postmus and Mr. Biane had received substantial campaign contributions from this developer and Mr. Biane used to work with them prior to becoming a public official.

Anyway, the county supervisors are currently fighting among themselves. The corruption can only last if they all get along with each other.
