Although the lease requires that the the leasee maintain the fences, Anthony Chavez at the Barstow Field Office maintains that maintenance responsibility does not include repair of fences from vandalism.

(Notwithstanding that the vandalism to the fences is perpetrated by the other special interest group BLM has given dominance of your public lands, the OHV community.)
