Meeting date Oct. 30

Meeting began about 2 p.m. in a sunny spot on the grass. DCV banner was displayed. Ralph, Paul, Ron, and Sycamore attended and were joined by one visitor.

Item #1) Membership and funding changes:

Two new members joined following our September meeting, bringing our total to 33. Funding is currently at $216.

Item #2) Boy Scout volunteer help:

A Boy Scout troop is willing to help with projects. Project ideas include cleanup of driftwood (to be burned by USFS, removed by USFS, cleared and hidden, or floated downstream), cleaning of the Womb, trail maintenance on "Mofo" hill and/or goat trail. DCV will contact the USFS regarding the driftwood and trail erosion and obtain permission on any decided projects.

Item #3) Scott Parker's court results: The USFS notified DCV of the results of Scott's trial and requested that anyone seeing Scott in the forest report his presence to the USFS.

Item #4) Next meeting Dec. 4th...Bring a Friend

The November and December DCV meetings will once again be combined into one meeting on the first Saturday in December, which is the fourth. This meeting will be "Bring a Friend" day. All members are encouraged to bring a friend for a meeting with an emphasis on socializing. (As always, the meeting is open to the public as well)

Item #5) Other

The DCV web pages now feature a calendar of events, thanks to Ralph. Members discuss the possibility of DCV getting its own website. Ralph has offered to set up the website and also to donate the cost for the first year. The cost is projected to be $29.00 per year.

End of DCV meeting minutes.
