That does supprise me to hear that the shower pipe above the valve just came apart. By all indications the PVC cement was completely dry and tight when I left it. Its the same type of PVC cement I used on the waterline that supplies our home, which has about 70 PSI pressure and I have had no problems whatsoever. In fact you would probably break the pipe before you could pull a fitting apart. Makes me wonder if someone vandalized it. Oh well, as long as the fitting coming out of the concrete is not damaged, it will be easy to fix :-)
