While the topic has been about vertical mulching. Has anyone besides me noticed that the large trees that once graced the former Moss mill ranch are gone. This was on government land, anyone have a clue. I used to look over in that direction and daydream as I left the area for the rat race over here. As I remember there were a couple of very large Chinese Junipers, some sycamores and were those cottonwoods too. All servived the fire. I suppose the Bowen ranch gang needed some firewood. Or perhaps they did not want tresspassers hideing behind those shade trees, fueling their paranoia. Or maybe, the government Eco-terrorist did not want to make anymore habitats for those dang endangered species. What ever the cause I will always miss going up there to relax.
